  • Ok, fine, I admit it

I've resisted it as long as I could, but I kinda do like Twilight and all its ridiculousness of sparkling marble skin, the inexplainable passion and attraction between Edward and Bella and the ever so hot Jacob (Which, by the way, WHY is he actually 16?!? So wrong.). Movies and books like this just make girls nuts and create a hope for a relationship that is just purely impossible. And I'm not just talking about the impossibility of vampires or the hottness of Edward and Jacob, but the passion involved in their relationship. How can two people who never seem to interact with any sort of interest below the surface be so passionately in love? It just fails to convince me (but succeeds in making me envious). Ugh, I hate how it all doesn't make any logical sense but love reading about Edward and Jacob.

Seriously, Bella AKA Kristen Stewart can just fall off a cliff. She is just not deserving of this role in the books or in real life!

  • Halloween Results

So since Halloween fell on a Saturday, of course we had to go out Friday! I didn't really plan a second outfit, so we went out as ninjas/assassins/spies/something-dressed-in-all-black. Despite all the layering, I was FREEZING! I had to grab an additional hoodie to layer on top of this!

Then on Saturday I dressed as Lady Gaga...I was going to do the sparkly mask and go all out with the leotard and such, but it was so cold the night before that I just couldn't sacrifice warmth for Halloween. So really, all I was just a blonde, haha.

"Ah, Kristen, you're in your true form tonight!"

Hope everyone else had a safe weekend!

  • Wine Country

I've taken a week trip up to NorCal where I'm visiting family, going to a wedding, meeting up with friends and spending Halloween doing something different. I'm currently in Napa Valley and so far...my appreciation for wine is still at a mere level of acknowledgment. However, I do enjoy the scenery and the beautiful efforts they go through in making it! It always seems so delicious when people swirl and drink wine...and yet whenever I do it, I end up having this wrinkled look on my face that makes me realize otherwise. Maybe my tastebuds are not mature enough.

I've been taking lots of video to show Dwight of my visit here...he's in the Philippines and wanted to see what it's like, but so far I'm having a trickier time with videotaping things how I see them through my eyes and thoughts. I realize I'm quite scattered and my ideas and thoughts are changing so quickly that I don't have a cohesive storyline when I actually put together a video. I'm working on it though! And hopefully I'll have a few fun videos to show of my trip when I get back.

  • Things I NEED (not want but need!)

I know myself well enough to admit that I am definitely incurable with this sickness called "shopping" and "wanting things as needs". I'm sorry, that's just the way I am and whoever I end up with is just going to have to accept that...just as I accept that guys will always mock us girls in our shopping and pretend like they don't care about how their hair looks (which I know you DO care...you take like 2 minutes to just add gel).

Anyways, things I'm always on the hunt for, but can never seem to either find or afford (or justify affording):

    Boots
And I mean allll kinds of boots. Knee-high, thigh-high, booties...the sick thing is that you can't just stop with one pair like a pair of good black pumps. No, because then there's the dilemma of "Black or brown? Or should I be daring and go red? Flat riding boots or kick-ass heels?" Yes, the dilemma that is boots. I already bought a pair of black ankle boots (justified in the fact that it's from Target) and I'd love to have a pair of thigh-highs. And seriously, there has to be a way to wear them without looking like a hooker. Also, the problem I have with boots is that...well, "it's not you, it's me." Because my legs are bowed or something and every time I wear taller boots, it just doesn't fit or form well to my legs. It's torture in one way and saves me a lot of money in another.

    Leather Jacket
I've been on the hunt for a great leather jacket for over 6 years now...part of me is unsuccessful because I don't avidly shop for it too much since it just hurts when I have to place it back on its rack, open to anyone who wants to swipe it away on their credit cards, but also because I have a tough time finding one that has skinny enough arms. I often end up looking like a child trying on their mother's clothing when it comes to jackets. However, I did find this amazing jacket at Zara. I love jackets that have a lot of stitching to create new textures.

This isn't the Zara jacket...I couldn't find the exact photo since I think they released their winter line online already.

    Nude Pumps
I've been looking for nude pumps for about 4 years now. I can never find one that is less than $200 and doesn't cut into my bony ankles. Any help here? They match everything and make your legs look longer!

    nudeshoes

And things I'm just in love with right now but will never justify purchasing on a whim:
LuluLemon's lightweight tweed jacket. I can't seem to find photos of anything I want right now, how frustrating, but I love how it has this high collar and is so light yet so warm.
Leopard-printed faux fur coat. It's just so luxurious! Having it draped all over you, how warm!
Faux-fur vest. I'm just loving how the textures are so different this season.
